At the Vijfhuizerdijk, there was a house in a completely outdated condition. The client wanted a total renovation including an extension, using a material that 'lives': copper. In the first weeks, it appears shiny red/orange, as seen in the photos. After a few weeks, it darkens to a red/brown color. And after 15 to 20 years, it turns green. Neutral colors were chosen to complement each stage that the copper goes through.
